Injured Man Taken to Cincinnati Hospital After School Bus Accident in Northern Kentucky
A Stephens Elementary School bus slowed at a stop sign to make a right turn when a car slammed into the back of it. Although it isn’t known what speed the 1999 Mitsubishi 3000GT was going when it hit, it must have been traveling fairly fast as half the car ended up jammed under the rear of the bus. 18-year-old Dakota Reamer of Cleves, Ohio was riding his bicycle Friday night around 10:00 p.m. when he was struck by a car while crossing the intersection of U.S. Highway50 at Mount Nebo Road. He was hit by a 2006 Toyota Corolla driven by Mearl Smith, 44, from Fairfield. Smith was driving westbound when the crash occurred. He was not injured in the crash and has not been charged. According to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department, Reamer wasn’t wearing any protective gear or reflective material.
